Daymer Bay is a beautiful wide sandy beach on the north coast of Cornwall near Padstow, with breathtaking views out across the Camel Estuary.
It’s location, tucked away within the mouth of the River Camel give the beach good shelter, and with little or no waves the conditions are great for splashing around in. There is however, no lifeguard cover on Daymer Bay beach so please take caution when in the water.
As the tide fades away, an expanse of fresh sand is revealed and the beach really opens up, enabling you to walk around the imposing Brae Hill and onto nearby Rock and Padstow (by ferry). As you gently stroll along the meandering sand, watching the boats slowly sail past whilst the turquoise blue waters gently lap against the shore you can be easily mistaken into thinking you are somewhere tropical . It’s absolutely beautiful.
